PARENT WORKSHOPS – There will be a Parent Workshop on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 8:30 to 9:30 am in the Parent Center. The topic is Online Safety.
AWARDS ASSEMBLY – The Awards Assembly will be on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, in person and via zoom. Awards Assembly times are K & 1st grade at 8:35, 2nd & 3rd grade at 9:15, UTK & PALs at 9:45, 4th and 5th grade at 10:30.

P.T.A. Meeting – Our next meeting will be on Thursday, April 17, 2024, at 2:45 pm in the auditorium.
SPRING BOOK FAIR – Our Scholastic book fair will be from Monday, April 22 through Friday, April 26, 2024.
You can set up your child’s e-wallet ahead of time and share it with family members. See the link on our school web page.
UTK & KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION – There will be a new universal transitional kindergarten (UTK) and kindergarten parent orientation on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 5:00 pm in the library. Enrollment packets will be given out at the end of orientation. The school entrance age for 2024 - 2025 is 4 years old and will be 5 years old September 2, 2024, through September 1, 2025 for UTK & Transitional Kindergarten students. Kindergarten students must be 5 on or before September 1, 2024.
OPEN HOUSE- Please join us on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Book fair will be open from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm for parents and families.
UNASSIGNED DAY – In observance of Armenian Genocide, school will be closed on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
SPIRIT DAY – Thursday, April 25, 2024, is Hawaiian Day.
SPRING RECITIAL – Meet The Music’s Spring Recital will be on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 8:30 am, 10:30 am, and 1:00 pm. Students will perform in all three time slots.
PANORAMA PHOTO – All fifth graders will be in the panorama photo that will be taken on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
BOOK DONATION – We are looking for gently used books to give to students for their home library during our R.I.F.
distributions. If you have books to donate, please see Ms. Nazario.
REMINDER – Parents please check your child’s
backpack to ensure they are not bringing
unnecessary or valuable items to school. There is no insurance to replace such items if lost, damaged or stolen. No toys, or Pokémon cards, and no
school supplies. We will provide everything your
child needs for their school day.
CLOTHING DONATION –If your
child has outgrown their uniforms; you can donate them in the office. We collect uniform color polo shirts, t-shirts, bottoms, sweatpants, shorts, etc., for student’s emergencies or students in need.
DRIVEWAY AND PARKING LOT – Only employees may park in the parking lot. The parking lot is locked during the day. Do not drive through the lot to drop off your children and do not block the driveway to drop them off.
The parking lot is not a turn around and the exit gate is locked until school day is over.
Also, DO NOT PARK IN THE HANDICAP SPOT OR ON THE BLUE ACCESS WAY. You will be cited, and the ticket is $371.00.
ATTENDANCE – California Educational Code requires all students to attend school daily. For your child to receive the best education, please have your child or children attend school every day, on time. If your child is absent, you must send a note to the teacher verifying his/her absences upon their return. We need a doctor’s note if your child is out three or more consecutive days or saw a doctor.
Also, the district makes automated calls when your child is late, absent, or leaves early. We have no control over these calls because the information is captured from the computer attendance program daily, by 8:30 am.

*5th grade Culmination will be on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 9:00 am at Verdugo Hills High School in the auditorium.
*There will be a UTK & Kindergarten Year-End Celebration. Parents will be given more information by the teachers.
